weeping tile system weeping tile system Basement Renovation

Whether you're thinking of more bedroom space, an additional bathroom, and entertainment center or recreation area, TorontoRenovations.com will handle the entire project from start to finish.

People often know they want their basement finished, but don't know how to put it all together, whether they have the necessary space, or even how to get started. We are able to assess your needs and, after accurate measurements are taken, will design various blueprints to fit your requests. From these drawings you can choose the ideas that best suit your requirements and come up with a final blueprint. With this final blueprint in hand, we will be able to determine what the cost of the basement finish will be, and provide a start-to-finish timeline on when the project will draw to a close.

Kitchen renovations can range from simple counter top or cabinet replacement to full scale renovations. We provide design assistance, custom options, and all related plumbing and electrical work.

Our goal is to create a modern kitchen which will be harmonious with the rest of the house. We have some splendid molding in the rest of the house, but nothing that is too grand, and we don't want to create a showpiece in the kitchen that is out of character. Most modern cabinets and fittings look out of place. Our planning team on the goals of keeping the kitchen usable, spacious (as much as possible in the little space), and appropriate to the house.

weeping tile system weeping tile system Bathroom Renovation

We specialize in bathroom improvements to complete remodels. We would be happy to make recommendations on finish items such as tile choices, wall finishes, lighting changes, fixtures, plumbing and more.

On a large-scale bathroom remodeling project, the bathroom layout can be changed to just about any configuration. However, it is often more affordable to let the plumbing layout of your present bathroom define your renovation. We would be happy to go over your options with you.

Every project is different and therefore has different budget considerations. Material selection can be a large factor in determining your budget. We recommend identifying what functions and layout you'd like to have. Once this happens, you can choose your materials and fixtures according to what you can afford and what your neighborhood market will bear.

Frames and drywall installation

masonry Drywall consists of a thin layer of gypsum between two layers of heavy paper. It is used for walls and ceilings in most buildings today because it is both faster and cheaper to install than plaster.

Insulation installation

masonry Aside from door and window glass, insufficient insulation is one of the main sources of heat loss in homes. Fiberglass batty insulation is the most used thermal insulation material in home construction. It's sold in rolls or in bats designed to fit in 16- or 24-in. spaces. As a general rule, the space between wall studs is 16 in., while the space between ceiling joists is 24 in. For walls, install fiberglass bats from inside the house, against the sheathing - which is covered on the outside with an air barrier and an exterior siding. In the attic, insulation is laid flat between the ceiling joists.

Vapor barrier installation

masonry Moisture problems such as rot and mould can be avoided with the proper installation of a vapor barrier. What happens in the winter, the air in a house has a higher rate of moisture than the outside air and the moisture inside the building seeks to escape. To prevent this water vapor from creating condensation in the envelope of the building, promoting rot and mould problems and eventually structural damage.

Electrical circuits installation

masonry Lighting is essential to the look and function of any room. And today there are more options in lighting your home than ever before.
